Wordpress

The main Bridge School site (https://www.bridgeschool.org) and all of the subdomain sites (e.g. https://selfdetermined.bridgeschool.org) are hosted as a single Wordpress multisite installation. Setting up all the Bridge School web properties as a multisite installation allows us to only have to maintain a single Wordpress installation, deployment pipeline, and database, amongst other things. However, it does lead to some complexity which will be covered in other pages in this section of the docs.

Setting up a multisite installation

Hopefully, it never becomes necessary to completely reinstall Wordpress and set up the network again. If, for some reason, it does become necessary, the Wordpress primer on setting up a network should cover most, if not all, of the steps.

Additionally, if resintalling, basic measures should be taken to ensure the security of the network as outlined in the Hardening Wordpress article.
